I think this is an interesting random fact to know about the world/history. But we should clear that there's nothing wrong with her choosing to quit her factory job after two weeks.

We should be upfront that some women can be physically stronger than some men. She just didn't happen to be one. And women should have the freedom to leave a job they feel is unsafe, just as any man should. (Without making this partisan, I suspect of those that feel like they're stuck in an unsafe-job, a larger portion of those are men.)

I thought I'd clarify that in case there's an open minded female lurking.

The thing with her wanting to keep playing the cello made me think of Tony Iommi, Black Sabbath's guitarist. It's said the factory accident that chopped off his fingertips as a teenager led him to develop their proto heavy metal sound. It's a pretty cool story:
