Hanna Rosin is one of the leading cheerleaders of grrrl power. She believes that the top goals of women should be career and economic success above all else, to the point that she has said that it's better to be successful than to be happy, and if some women end up unmarried, childless and unhappy, that's the price of progress. So her celebration of female careerism and emotional detachment here is entirely in character. To Rosin, relationships are a hindrance to female dominance.

There is little in this article that I haven't been reading in the "manosphere" for years. We all know that many young women are careerist and hypergamous, having uncommitted sex with the most attractive men they can land - "riding the alpha cock carousel" as it's called.

What was slightly new to me was the descriptions of how female peer pressure in college transforms more traditional girls into hooking-up careerists. The natural desires of women for a partner and children are considered a shameful weakness, to be suppressed and denied. Only a loser would admit to wanting those things, except perhaps in the distant and hypothetical future. And of course men have desires for a partner and children too, so the men must suppress their instincts in order not to seem weak and clingy to these women. Everyone is playing cool so they can become good little overachieving corporate drones. It seems like a whole lot of rationalization going on with both sexes.

Obviously this woman does not like men very much. However I agree with her. Women must want hook up culture or it would not exist. It was extremely refreshing to see an article that treated women like adults.

She's another one whose only value to society is what she flushes down the toilet as fertilizer. Her job is to promote hatred.

It's important to note the description of the business world and how its immorality appears to be reflected in the day-to-day lives of its members.

Any slut will be a hypocrite, which partly explains the denial encountered in previous eras.

This also needs to be emphasized:

The women wanted to study or hang out with friends or just be “100 percent selfish,” as one said. “I have the rest of my life to devote to a husband or kids or my job.” Some even purposely had what one might think of as fake boyfriends, whom they considered sub–marriage quality, and weren’t genuinely attached to. “He fits my needs now, because I don’t want to get married now,” one said. “I don’t want anyone else to influence what I do after I graduate.”

I would not want to be the child of such a woman and I would not want her to have the opportunity to be a mother, not least because she would probably spawn more people like her.
