So, one, this is a well known folk tale. Willie Nelson loved to tell it about his wife, and its older than him.

And two, it makes you guys look like douchebags when you deliberately leave out important information in a story. The husband had JUST BEATEN HER, he fell asleep, and she sewed him to the bed and hit him with a broom. OH GOD THE MISANDRY!
