A simple case of being rude, yet in the comments he is vilified as 'sexist'. How would people react if it the genders were reversed?

It is sexist to assume that someone should get you a beer because she's a woman.

Of course, that still doesn't excuse his girlfriend chucking bottles at him.

They would praise her for being empowered and for being able to control her man? At least that's what I've learned in my 19 years of being a woman.

Regarding the actual thing, though: It's kind of sexist to think that controlling a woman will make you seem "cool". And this is coming from the girl who rarely labels things as sexist.

That's a weird story, she threw 4 bottles at his head? That's like... wow, glass bottles? Because that sounds really, really dangerous. I feel like I'm missing something here.

IMO, he's an asshole for treating her like his obedient, subservient slave-monkey, but she's even more of an asshole for responding with physical abuse. If my gf made me carry her bags because just because I'm a dude, I would seriously question what I'm doing in a relationship with such a chauvinistic douchebag. I'm supposed to be the object of your affection, not a mere utility for the purpose of doing your dirty work. I'd say something like, "Show me some respect, or I'm walking out the door." But I wouldn't throw the freaking bags at her. That would make ME the bad guy. It should work the same way when the genders are reversed. Period. End of story.

Typical. He gets slagged for being rude, she gets praised for committing ( or at least trying to commit ) assault. And yet, people think men are the first sex.
