If you could all read through this and the related article either before or after you read what I have to say it would help context a ton.

In Khalizad's response she said a few things that disturbed me he didn’t realize these other comments were sexist (I was right, as demonstrated by his response). My response didn't admit to sexism, it refuted it.

Hey, I get that my comments are offensive, in fact I've probably said a lot worse, but they weren't sexist and it's very upsetting that it's automatically being assumed of me. One of my close child hood friends is black, there was this corner store we would always go to where the guy at the counter would watch him like a hawk. In our teenage years he told me that he hoped one day I'd be able to understand what it's like to have a motive assumed of you. I'm certainly not comparing myself to be scrutinized for the color of my skin, but I understand my friend loud and clear now.

I understand that Khalizad was trying to help me. Trying to show me that if I don't like sexism I should change the way I behave, because like I said in my original response: Bob always makes racist jokes, sometimes a little too many. Is Bob racist? Well, 9/10 the answer would be yes. But that isn't what happened. She went through my post history and then exploited what I said and attacked me on a personal level.

When I read the article I didn't even care that it was a women, that didn't process in my mind as important. All that mattered to me was that it was a person being discriminated against for anything.

Maybe I'm full of shit and some type of insane sexist, maybe I shouldn't have posted this in a place where it's a mole hill to mountains, maybe I really am the bad guy, but I don't know and I wanted an opinion from someone here, because I've been subscribed long enough to know that there are very intelligent people here.
