Technically he's being sexist - he complains about why "men think they can harass and abuse women online". That happens to everybody. Why should women get a special "I'm a girl so you can't be mean to me" treatment? They already get that in real life.

Why does nobody get that when you go online and become a source of interest, that you are left open to abuse? In fact - the abuse against her is pretty much the same abuse Justin Bieber gets. He is actually enough of an adult to not bitch and complain and piggyback off it (never thought I'd praise him in anyway O.o) to get money - which is what she did.

Also, while I don't care what she does with the money (cause hey - I didn't send her any), I would point out that if she just pockets the left over - she's dishonest. The money was given for the kickstarter - i.e. to fund her making a web series. While taking 'some' for personal spending is fine (money for time) - if she doesn't donate and/or spend a large portion on a related subject - then she's been dishonest.

Nope, pretty sure he's completely biased. He had some good points and I don't see anything wrong with either kickstarter project, so I agree that neither should be harassed, but implying that only men rag on feminism(because feminism never hates on MRA) and that only men can be hateful or whatever, pretty dumb. He also basically dismisses misandry completely and blows us all off like it's a joke.

I agree that if people are being retards towards anyone somebody should step in. But don't make it because we're men. That's just idiotic. It's the decent thing to do, that's why it should be done.

Contrary to what this guy tries to say, confronting people's bad behavior in youtube posts and video game forums isn't anyones obligation. Its your choice. End of story. If Anita Sarkeesian were drowning, and I could save her, I may feel obligated, out of compassion. But protect her from naught words? No.

Having a penis has apparently made me blind to my obligations, though, which is why as a DUDE on the internet, I had an obligation to watch this video.

Also, bonus weak shaming - you're "afraid" of strong women, using awkward scalzi style videogame metaphors. Naturally this was the blogger's favorite line.

Women on the internet get 10x as much attention. Women are treated much better. People complaining about how women are treated are blind fools. I pity them.

It's a legitimate concern, women DO get more shit than men on the internet.

If you don't believe me: make a username that's overly feminine (involving butterflies, princess etc.) and notice the comments that you get. Then post in /r/gaming and see what happens. Also, post a picture of something /r/gaming related and have yourself in the picture showing you're a dude, then a week later have something else /r/gaming related and post it with your girlfriend in the photo and see what happens.

We need to start treating everyone as equals. There are definitely some areas that men are treated poorly (divorce, child custody, higher education rates etc.) and there are definitely some areas that women are treated poorly. THIS IS ONE OF THOSE AREAS.

EDIT: We shouldn't be treating them nicely because they're women. We should be treating them fairly because they're people.
