I'm gonna try and stay away from a huge wall of text, so here's some bullet points outlining the scenario/issues:

  • My son is two.

  • It has been just over a year since my ex (let's call her Lisa) and I have been together.

  • We were never married, just boyfriend/girlfriend.

  • After we separated, she moved ~6 hours away with our son.

  • I have child support set up at $300/month.

  • She is moving back to my area Monday, she just notified me of this yesterday.

  • She believes it is my fault that I am not able to see my son. I couldn't afford to drive 6 hours away, get a hotel, pay for our food and come back more than once a month.

  • She believes that I should be paying for daycare on top of my child support. I can not afford this, not even paying for half of daycare on top of my child support.

  • We have no custody arrangement set up.

  • She has not been and is currently not working.

  • She damn near refuses to stay civil with me when we speak. She loses her temper at everything I say, and it's all in text messaging, never spoken on the phone. The text messages ranges from stating how horrible I am as a parent/person to how I'm following in my parent's footsteps (definitely not a compliment, and definitely not true).

I'm really just looking for some general guidance for these issues. I have a very limited budget so I don't think hiring an attorney to go over everything is going to be possible.

Thanks guys.
