If there's no legal recourse and you aren't offering any details, I'm assuming the "scam" is little more than you regretting spending money on her when the relationship fell apart.

Either way, throw the photos away. No good comes from vindictiveness, it just makes you a shitty person too.

No. I would personally tell her that I possessed them, to screw with her head, but I wouldn't ever support doing something like that. In fact, I would support your using the pictures to attempt to get your money back... but I would condemn you ever posting the pictures. Revenge feels good, but it never makes any gains beyond that; beyond your short-term satisfaction, nobody wins, and even if she doesn't decide to get back at you for it (perhaps in a far more harsh manner than you've had), it's just a bad idea.

Essentially, I recommend being the bigger person and moving on. If you want to get your money back, then I wouldn't have a problem with your blackmailing her with the pictures. But even if she calls you on it, I wouldn't post them. Long-term, it's best for everybody involved if you don't post them.

Regardless of whether you choose to blackmail for your money or not, I would tell her "I could easily destroy your career with these pictures, but I'm choosing to be better than you and leave you alone". I would personally find that more satisfactory and there's little chance of her getting back at you.

If you don't have her consent to post the pictures, then you should not post them. If you do it without her permission, you are a much worse person for it.

If the pics can't be traced back to you by all means send them to her employer. Otherwise, you best not.
