If you read through the comments you'll see many people bringing up pretty solid points regarding this weird commercial, but when the yogurt commercial where John Stamos gets head-butted gets posted some actually try to say they aren't the same things. I don't always agree with all the content on this subreddit, but when it comes to female on male domestic violence, divorce proceedings and father's rights, I'm very much on board with y'all. Sure, Jezebel has a feminist slant, but I was pissed to see people defending the yogurt ad as if female on male domestic violence isn't an issue. The way I see it, if you are against one, you should be against the other. It's exactly the same. Women should NOT get a pass when they hit or otherwise hurt men, and it's time popular culture started reflecting that.

As usual they lie and distort. These are the same people who said they would never complain about a commercial like this if the sexes were reversed. Well guess what -- they lied.

I haven't run a statistical anaylsis yet, but I'm fairly certain more comments than not support the article. I wish it were otherwise. For the few commentors that point out the hypocrisy, there's 2-3 times as many trying to justify it.

If I were to even accept the idea that women are marginalized, how does that justify the depiction of domestic violence against men?
