This is a great example of how queer-persons' rights overlap with mens' rights. I am always shocked when I see that this nonsense is still going on in the US in 2012. He isn't harming anyone. The only thing that should be note worthy about his gender presentation is his ability to run in those heals. It looks tough.

Long ago I was a principal in a public high school. A couple of guys decided that they wanted to wear dresses (Just plain cotton dresses that went a little below their knees). I didn't care. Nobody else cared. They gave it up after a couple of weeks.

What I didn't expect was that I had to explain to one of the guys that when you wear a dress that there are times that you have to keep your knees together for modesty's sake...

Friend of mine wore a skirt in high school, when they tried to suspend him he asked to see the rule against it.

Well, they didn't actually have one. They kept him in the office the whole day while they dug up older and older rulebooks, guidelines posters, everything they could find, nothing, since it went past his knees. They let him wear it for the rest of the day but said if he did it again he'd be suspended for 'deliberate disobedience' or something. Crazy.

Now I'm in full support of LGBT rights, and I don't think that the school should have suspended him, but that's just tacky dress. It doesn't look good at all.
