more on the story My understanding is the women was ruled too drunk to consent to sex and therefore the sex was rape, and yet his friend who also had sex with her was found innocent.

So two men have sex with a woman, they both say it was consensual she says she doesn't remember what happened. Therefore it was definitely rape.

Now drunken consent is a real grey area, however this woman was not passed out nor was she according to the statements of the two men out of her senses. They both say she was in control of her actions, now they cannot know for certain, however I would not say this case clears the reasonable doubt hurdle.

But the real victim is the woman Now that a man has been charged and jailed, publically shamed, reviled in the media, and had his career and life destroyed. Some people have said nasty things about the woman on social media, so lets not forget the real victim in this case. It's the woman who got drunk, consented to sex, but cannot remember if she did.

Witness' saw the woman stumbling, unable to stand without support, this was rape, the other guy was let off because there wasn't enough evidence to prove that he was 'in on it'...
