This turns out to be a good argument for why women do not belong in some work environments. So if that's the logical conclusion feminists want us to draw, then, um ... OK.

Certain jobs require communication styles that may be perceived as "intimidating". Conflicts arise in any human endeavor, and especially those that are perceived as having great value or being particularly arduous. To obstruct an important method of resolving conflict because it offends certain delicate flowers suggests to me that those delicate flowers do not belong in those environments.

The very important thing to remember is that the case that originally created the "reasonable woman standard," Ellison vs. Brady, also stipulated that when the alleged victim is a man, then a distinct "reasonable man standard" applies. What that means in this context, is that men should demand that female behaviors that are the equivalent of "men's temper tantrums," such as passive-aggressive behaviors, also be treated as possible sex discrimination.

While there was evidence that the same director raised his voice with men on occasion, and once frightened a male subordinate, male employees seemed to deal with that abuse with banter, and did not express the same fear of the director, did not cry, become panicked or feel physically threatened, avoid contact with the director, call the police, or ultimately resign, as did one woman.

Because society says men shouldn't cry, or feel fear whatsoever that a majorty of men become husks of emotionless worker bee's.
