I get that for nine months she has to carry the baby, but for the next 20 years we will both be responsible for that baby. It just seems like a decision that both people should get a say with- legally I mean.
For example- If she wants it and I don't, why can't she raise the baby herself? If I want the baby and she doesn't, why can't I raise the baby after it's born myself?
I mean- thank goodness neither I nor my girlfriend want a baby for the next decade or so (though we'd both want to keep it if any terrible accidents happened), but the conversation came up today and I was curious what you guys thought.
