For my English 3 class in college, I have to write a paper about a controversial topic, and I think this could be a great topic. It hadn't occurred to me until all this current controversy, but I think this might be a better topic than something like SOPA/Copyright law would be.

I'm required to have at least two books as sources, so I was hoping someone here might have some suggestions.

Here's the basic idea of what I'm supposed to do. Do you guys think I should go for it?

Note: "dreaded few" doesn't mean highly controversial topics, but highly common topics that the professor doesn't want to read a bunch of papers about every year.
