Words cannot describe this idiocy in this. It's one thing to create artificial wombs, it only helps women/men who cannot reproduce (whether infertile, gay, etc,) reproduce. It's a completely other thing, to discourage pregnancy, BECAUSE OF INEQUALITY. My god. I don't know how to react.

I've occasionally heard say that a child is more their's because it grew inside of them.

If I can buy some (human) eggs and then have my own kid, get a vasectomy, and a woman can buy some sperm and have her own kid. Then we can meet, fall in love, get married, and raise our children and live our life. Well, that sounds like the perfect world to me, even if impractical and probably morally/ethically/genetically outrageous.

I think it's fantastic from a scientific viewpoint... but generally speaking, if you don't want to use your uterus, then adopt or foster.

There may be, in the distant future (if we survive that long as a species) a real reason for this stuff to become commonplace. Now, though, the social structures aren't in place for us to be able to cope with this kind of technology.

As it is, our technology is evolving too fast for us to adapt properly.
