I'm sorry if this isn't the right place to post, but I was hoping some of you could give me some advice about this situation?

My boyfriend's dad has been divorced for a while now, I'm not sure how long, at least 7 or 8 years ago. The child custody was awarded to his ex-wife and at the time he sold his company to move out of state, so his child support was very expensive. He got a new job but since child support was so high, they couldn't legally take the full amount every month out of his paycheck. He has tried to get the payment lowered several times but the court won't lower it.

My boyfriend and his sister are currently both over 20 years old. Neither of them have lived with their mom for several years. His dad lost his job a month ago and child support is being taken out of his unemployment checks because the court says he owes back child support. Just yesterday, his dad's bank account/savings was completely cleared out and transferred to his ex-wife for child support without his knowledge. He now has absolutely no money and no money coming in since everything is going to her. My boyfriend is giving his dad money so he can get food/gas/rent.

His ex-wife is very manipulative. She was caught faking court documents (not related to the divorce) but managed to get out of going to jail for it. Why does the court trust her?

Sorry if this explanation is unclear, but I am wondering how she was able to clear out his bank account and why the court won't lower the payments or stop payments as no money is going to either child? What can my boyfriend's dad do? If it helps, this is in Colorado.
