First off, let me welcome you to the sub-reddit. You've asked some very pointed questions that I doubt I could answer concisely. I do however, want to encourage you to take a look at some of the posts here and not just the comments. Some of the highlight how men's rights have dwindled in various areas of life.

As for your example of female CEOs, perhaps you could consider that it's not "ignorant men" who are stopping women from becoming CEOs. But that the people involved are not choosing to be CEOs. As for the history of inequality, it might be best to look at this with a historical lens to put it into context. I'm not a historian, but I have done some research on gender roles through out certain periods of history. As it were, women did lack the ability to own land and were forced to the private (domestic) sphere. But, at the same time men were forced to the public (word) sphere, and were often forced to fight to protect their family. Both sexes had a role to fill, and many chose to do so. It's very easy for us to look in the past and say "That wasn't fair" based on the context of our lives today. However, what do you think the people of that time would tell us about how they felt with it. Sure, some would have wanted change. If you want an example of what I mean, read "The Return of Martin Guerre". It's a book written based from first hand sources of life of a 16th century village in France. It tells of a boy who was forced to marry a girl at 12 (around that) and when he couldn't have sex with her he was heckled to the point of him running away from the village. The story goes on about how another man replaces him and the wife (who realizes it's not him) lives happily until the real one returns. The story is very telling on how not every man in history was "out" to take away women's rights, that even then men were held up to their own social stigmas that often get over looked. I told you I couldn't speak concisely about this. I got off topic.

I commend you for having such strong feelings about this. But, remember masculinists aren't trying to take away anyone's rights they're fighting for their own.

It is unfortunate that you take statistics and reinterpret them in light of your own ideologies.

The lack of female CEOs is not evidence of discrimination of women, it is evidence of different outcomes between men and women. The origination of the different outcomes needs to be investigated and addressed in order to resolve that problem. As the amount of evidence showing that there is little to no wage discrimination against women grows, it becomes more and more evident that the cause for disparities in CEO and manager numbers between men and women are related to choices made by the different genders.

Women tend to choose jobs that are a) closer to home, b) have fewer hours, c) are less dangerous/strenuous, d) offer more benefits, e) offer more flexibility. Women also tend to take time off for child-rearing. These are qualities that are not evident in CEO and managerial positions. Some actions have been taken to make CEO/Management jobs more achievable by women, including the sharing of paternity/maternity leave.

None-the-less, in a free and capitalist society, men and women must be free to make their own decisions and live with the consequences of those decisions.

The more interesting issue to me is that you come here spewing a general statistic without any supporting evidence as to your interpretation of that statistic. I, on the other hand, have provided you with a separate explanation of that statistic, and provided you with topics that you are able to research and verify on your own. Do you care to do so? Will you challenge your own belief system, and in doing so make yourself stronger and more knowledgeable, or will you cling to it for support?

Your choice.
