I hope that's not special treatment for fathers.

I object to men benefiting from sexism just as much as women. Men should ahve the equal opportunity and equal rights to look after their children, but ultimately a couple should be able to decide who cares for the kids and families where the father chooses/has to work shouldn't be punished financially.

Equality of results is stupid.

Equality of opportunity will invariably end up with 50/50 responsibility, but if it doesn't then that just means that, in general, men are different then women. Heck, we may see men someday overtake women under this scenario. Who cares?

So why implement discriminatory gender policies? Depending who you talk to, people will argue women are better off, men are better off, the kids are better off, the poor are better off, because of this change. The government [and so-called patriarchy -.-] trying to manipulate societal expectations of gender roles is something that feminists have argued kept women down for centuries, so where are they now?
