"Dear Man" - Opposite of video "Dear Woman" Share your thoughts?

It's good. Not great. I still don't like the way some of the grammar implies that they are apologizing on behalf of all women everywhere. They can't and shouldn't be responsible for the actions of other women. The entire point is to treat people as individuals, not as members of a gender group.

It's a lot less creepy than the 'Dear Woman' video. It doesn't talk about masculine and feminine energies, and it tones down all the new age hippy stuff. Which is good. And it acknowledges a lot of real problems like male-bashing and male-shaming, and the contradiction between wanting to be equal and taken care of at the same time. Which is also good.

I liked it a lot more than the "Dear Man" tripe. At least they did not try to call men the Divine Builders, Warrior Kings, or some such nonsense. Too bad the comments were overrun by an unrepentant feminist man-hater and a couple of unforgiving MRAs.

Omg. That is just painful to watch to the end.

While they had one or two good messages, most of it came off as condescending to me. I think this is actually good though. It seems obvious to me that this is a mark showing us winning. They have pushed, along with so many other women, men so far to the edge culturally that men are abandoning women and the traditional lifestyles and even non-traditional lifestyles in droves.

I think this really scares the shit out of women. Just look at how old most of these women are. I bet a lot of them are realizing that their daughters have a very slim chance of meeting mr. right due to the cultural changes that these very women helped create.

I am still not sure if they are pushing equality or a social traditionalist paradigm. Either way, too little too late. Fuck em.

I will do my own thing on my own terms. These women seem to realize that they can't push men out of culture and to the brink without harming themselves and they speak of responsibility but then they want to skirt that same responsibility and ask for forgiveness....nope, they made their bed and now they can sleep in it.

It seemed like a nice gesture but really didn't seem all that genuine. It also really only covered a very small fraction of the issues men face. It also seemed to cater to this us vs them mentality(or women vs men) and promote some examples of sexist gender roles. Either way, while this video may have featured women who claimed to be speaking for all women, the attitude it portrayed isn't really one that is shared with the majority of women or feminists.

This meant a lot to me. It was warm, thoughtful, sincere, thorough, endearing, and forward-thinking. I can't see anything that I would change.

I'm not sure what to think really (I'm never sure what to think when a woman shows signs of being a decent human being)
