The story this girl, we'll call her Jane, is telling everyone is that my friend, Jack, broke into her house and attempted to rape her before her dad walked in and he ran away. I have not been able to talk to him but Jane has told many people the story (even though legally she's not supposed to). The problem with her story is that number one this guy is a good guy he's had a steady girlfriend and has never been in any trouble. He was very very drunk that night and somehow climbed up into her room without waking anyone in the house up. Jane has always had a reputation of "knowing" quite a few men and there is a video of her throwing herself at Jack at a party after his girlfriend left, she has been interested in Jack for quite some time but hasn't been able to get him away from his girlfriend. Most people, save for Jane's close friends, believe that Jane attempted to sneak Jack in and got caught, so to save herself from being punished by her dad she claimed rape. I'm not an expert on rape but I would assume any girl who goes through a traumatic experience like that wouldn't be able to go out 2 days later; party, drink, and be seen on numerous guys laps flirting incessantly. She's changed her story numerous times, saying she was duct taped then she said that there was no duct tape. How did Jack break in and attempt to rape her while her dad and sister were in the house without her screaming or making enough noise that someone woke up immediately? Jack's life is being ruined, his bail is too high for his family to pay, and they do not have the money to get him a decent lawyer. He's only 18 years old and is looking at quite awhile in prison if convicted. We're all at a loss and don't know what to do, hopefully Mens Rights can help us out. What can we do, how can we help, nobody deserves to be treated like this.
