If it was a male anchor, I don't think it would've been a slap. Men aren't allowed to slap, it doesn't fit the veneer of what a man should be, according to society.

But in this instance it seems everyone was being playful, but one does wonder how this would have gone down had it been a male anchor physically admonishing a young woman? I guess the idea is a woman can be given more leeway to get away with certain behavior because she is supposedly the weaker sex. So I have been told...

That was harmless. If anyone was inappropriate it was Mintz-Plasse for bringing up the topic of the interviewer's daughter having sex, though of course it was a joke.

If the gender roles were reversed it's no different, I wouldn't see the interviewer getting in trouble for that. Not everything is a mens rights issue.

Probably not, but for some reason I don't see that as a problem. It's likely just cultural bias on my part.

There are many things that is ok for one sex and not ok for another. For example, a woman who fucks every man in sight is a slut, while a man who does that is a "player". A male boss who doesn't take anyone's bullshit and is ruthless in deals is a good business man and a badass, a female boss who does that is often considered a bitch. These are big issues for feminists.

I think that from my perspective the double standards against men are more numerous and significant, especially because many of them are legal ones, and that they aren't usually taken seriously by many people for some reason. Cultural bias is not an easy thing to take on for both sexes, and I hope things like this get more attention in the coming years.
