It seems in the pilot areas, police will be able to stop men returning home for up to 48 hours by issuing a 'Domestic Violence Protection Notice (DVPN), after which time the police have to apply to the magistrates' court for a 'Domestic Violence Protection Order' (DVPO) itself, which would then require the alleged perpetrator to not contact the victim or return to the victim’s address for a minimum of 14 days and maximum of 28 days.

They already do this in washington state. Any call for domestic violence, whether made by someone involved or a neighbor, by law must result in an arrest. Anyone arrested for DV assault IV automatically is issued a temporary order of protection to prevent them from having any contact with the victim until the first available court date, which often times takes weeks. This means that unless the victim willingly leaves the house the accused cannot go home for any reason. Now, as we all know, men are almost invariably arrested as the "primary aggressor" regardless of the facts of the case. Hell, the washington law is actually much more strict than this pilot program and causes more damage

This is ridiculous, and they don't bother to step up analysis to only take DV allegations with Proof seriously, not just words since many allegations turn out false. When are men in the UK gonna stop these nonsense policies.
