"Oh, this is just horrendous. Let's try a thought experiment. I'm wondering whether The Daily Beast would publish the following: -Andrea Yates drowned her five children, and women abuse and murder children with greater frequency than men. Are women suitable to be mothers? -Brittni Colleps of Arlington Texas, a high school teacher, seduced and had sex with five male students. Female teachers are raping underage boys with increasing regularity. Are women suitable to teach high school? Of course we would not claim those things, because they are sexist bigotry. Rational people do not broadbrush a gender with the sins of a few. But apparently, since the article above is about men, sexist bigotry is totally acceptable to the Daily Beast. Most people in this day and age do not claim that women are unsuitable for public office due to hormones. Those who do would correctly be called sexist bigots. But despite Leslie Bennets appaling sexist bigotry, I will never claim that women are unsuitable to have an opinion."

Reading that made me ill.

It's amazing how even though corruption in business and government have actually gotten worse since women started joining (not suggesting a correlation), these supremacist bigots still place women on a pedestal, or shove men into the dirt, or both.

I wonder if future civilizations will think of these savages the same way we think about racists, assuming this current sad excuse of a civilization survives?

It's truly sad how many women think like this. Far too many if this, like so many other articles, do not receive universal condemnation the way anything written by Fred Phelps or a KKK member would. Some of the comments even praise this trash.

I encourage any man in r/MensRights with a sense of justice to make an account with the Daily Beast and let this Leslie Bennetts and her supporters know that men will not stand by anymore and will call them out on their bigotry, hatred and false sense of superiority.

Just a few bits of constructive criticism for the esteemed author.

Now, I'm not much of a journalist. But I have to say it, you cannot publish an article you expect to be taken seriously and QUOTE THE DAILY SHOW!! It's awesome, don't get me wrong, but it is a COMEDY PROGRAM that relies on HYPERBOLE AND JUXTAPOSITION to mock people.

But, oh, what's this? She has more quotes? From which eminent expert is this... oh, ROBIN WILLIAMS. It seems that her number one source is male comedians making of themselves (I know her Daily Show quotes weren't from Jon Stewart, but he does run the place and I'm sure checks off on all the material.) Let me reiterate; her quotations are from non-political, non-journalist men who have carefully sculpted each line to make people laugh. Which also happens to be what this article did for me, so I suppose it worked.

Benefit of the doubt, let's see this thing through to the end. The author goes on to cite - wait for it - CHARLIE SHEEN as an example of why men can't be in office. WHO THE FUCK IS GOING TO ELECT CHARLIE SHEEN TO ANYTHING. This is one of the most legendary fuck up celebrities of our time and she is using him as evidence why men shouldn't be in Congress? I wholeheartedly agree; Charlie Sheen would be a horrible Senator.

So, in conclusion, all I'm asking is that you judge men on the BEST OF US. Not the worst of us. We can find plenty of women that might make us want to just lock all y'all up in a basement and bring you out when we need babies. But we also know many amazing women, both personally and in the public sphere. I choose to form my opinions on those women. Would appreciate the same courtesy.

It's only a big deal because he got caught. He isn't doing anything different than many many millions of American men (and some women) are already doing.

The truth of male sexuality doesn't sit well with mainstream American culture - and these scandals are evident of that.

Really what we need is a more sex-positive attitude here in the ol' USA.

I wouldn't even go as far as to say Anthony Weiner is unsuitable for public office. Beyond his trite behavior on the AMA that dismissed the issues of reasonable adults as childish.
