I've had a lot of my comments censored in r/feminisms, even though they weren't remotely misogynistic. Simply because they were male-friendly and showed how men being harmed sometimes harms women--i.e: the baby boy who dies of complications from circumcision DOES indeed have a mother who will mourn him.

The mods on r/feminisms do not care about men's problems, even when solving those problems would not set back women in the least, and would likely lead to more happiness for everyone. This is because showing that men are in any way persecuted, disadvantaged, oppressed or disenfranchised by the system in ways that women are not would make some of their followers question patriarchal theory, take a look at things from someone else's perspective, and maybe realize women actually have it pretty good in the west. And if THAT happens, there goes the whole movement.

No need for a feminist movement once the job's done, right?

Why? Because there are two/three camps in the MRA movement.

The first are the traditionalists, which believe women and men should go back to traditional gender roles. They know that men and women are not equal, but instead are complementary. Women pretending to be men screws up the system. These MRAs don't hate women, but they don't like the role women are currently choosing.

The second are the egalitarians. They think men and women should be treated equally in all regards. They view men as getting the short end of the equality stick at this point and therefore focus on how men's rights are being infringed. These MRAs don't hate women, they hate the system which is unfair to men (which, yes, some women support... but if we can fix the system!).

The third group is a small minority, but they are the feminist/women haters. Mostly they been burned and just want revenge. Others view women as "a necessary evil" to continue the species. This group is small, and, yes, they pretty much hate women for what women have done.

Feminists? There is one major unifying feature of feminism: "Patriarchy". Men oppressed women! Men are the problem! At some level, that's gotta translate to man hate.

So, that's my interpretation of why, at least.

Feminists tend to be very intolerant of dissenting views. They will try to censor anything they don't like.

MRAs can get angry at dissenting views too, but /r/mensrights tends to downvote and counter-argue rather than delete and ban.

A lot of the openness stems from the fact that we recognize that people are actually human. The stereotypes that fly around in this sub usually apply to both genders and can be supported with evidence.

/r/feminism is populated by feminist propaganda, which utilizes as much false data and propaganda as possible in order to gather support. This more insane and hateful the mob is, the louder they are and the more money they get.

There is a clique in any group.

A clique wishes to only talk with and debate with those who share the cliques views and the clique, as a body, will systematically denigrate and attack anyone who has dissenting views.

The methods are the same no matter the topic or agendas.

The only time I ever see /mr get nasty is when we're being invaded by people from /feminisms.

I think we'd rather listen to an argument and either try to break it down so you can understand our point of view, or debunk it otherwise.

Sadly, the voice of MRA's is greatly drowned out by feminists and white-knights. Even sadder, feminists wont be happy until men have no voice at all.

In general feminism is more of a hate movement full of deceit and censorship of dissent. If not less anger you'll find a lot less dishonesty in here.

The answers you got in this thread explains it. Because they are not interested in a dialog. They are interested in calling feminists "bitter" (OThomson), "insane and hateful" (gmano), "a hate movement" (Gronliz), "intolerant" (EvilPundit) et.c. How many people do you know who respond positively to insults?
