If someone asks me what do I do, I default to the generic, boring "work, school, w.e" response. I do my hobbies for myself and because it gives me enjoyment, but I don't care enough to talk to others about my hobbies. I'd ask someone about their hobbies but I really don't care beyond making conversation. I don't see how my hobbies make me interesting and why would anyone care?
