What really kills me is how Reform Jews seem so interested in Jewish laws, traditions, and customs only in regard to circumcision. I wonder if her two divorces were in line with Jewish law. Somehow I doubt it. They will make all types of excuses about why they don't keep kosher or keep the Sabbath but with circumcision they are all of a sudden Torah scholars deeply concerned with following the tenants of their faith. P.S. I am a Jewish male who opposes infant circumcision.

I don't think it should be completely banned at all. Just on those who can't consent--babies and small children. If the Jewish want to cut up their dicks when they come of age, then they can go right ahead and knock themselves out.

Babies are not Jewish. Babies do not belong to any religion.

If they wish to join a religion and cut off part of their penis when they are adults then they should have that right... but the procedure should be made illegal on minors except when medically necessary.

Yes, things like this have been used in the past for the sake of discrimination against jews and muslims. But that is not the case this time.

My guess is that if this law gets passed it is going to be with a religious exemption clause. That or as one article put it, they are just going to go out of san fransico to have the practice done.

When the Roman emperor Hadrian caused the Diaspora by banning circumcision, little did he know the unintended consequences. The Jews wandered far and wide, still continuing what they considered was a god given covenant, unaware as they were, of the covenant of evolution, like all mammals have foreskins for a good reason, but the Jews thought they knew better.

Most forced migrations integrated, a good example for this were the Huguenots forced out of France hundreds of years ago, many of them ended up in England, then they vanished, well they did not vanish exactly, they integrated, the Jews never did this because they considered themselves different.

Well they were different they had this totally weird cultural habit of altering their new born male babies to grow into adults that cared more about money than sex, as they put it to make their male children less like 'animals'.

The unintended consequences came about because the Jews refused to integrate with the local populace they happened to end up with, the consequence of this was they got persecuted to the point of being murdered, Jewish people go on a lot about the holocaust, without ever mentioning the pogroms that went on for centuries before the second world war, Jews without good survival genes got weeded out. Now Jews are probably the smartest tribe out there. The only sadness is they have not made the middle east a happier place, by building a Red Sea Dead Sea canal and using the half a kilometre drop to generate energy, with which to take the salt out of the water and green the desert, like Ben Gurion said they should.

wha... what the fuck? as a jew i can say ban circumcision all you want, were still doing the bris. like it or not we aren't gonna abide by such a retarded law. though it is infringing on religious practices and is kinda un-constitutional..... but like i said its so fucking stupid we dont give a fuck
