So, with the ideas of "chivalry" and "being raised right", comes the notion that men hold open doors for women. Now, I've no problem with that; if you're at a door ahead of me, I honestly kind of expect it. And I say thank you every time.
What usually pisses me off, however, is when I get to a door before a guy and hold the door open, and he does something stupid like grab the door above me (I'm short. It ain't hard to do) and motions me in...
Why do guys insist on doing this? Don't I deserve the chance do do something nice and polite as well? If I expect the door held for me, why shouldn't I hold the door open for others?
