Sounds like a feminist article, but I believe it has as much to do with men's rights. Who here would want the role of 'househusband,' and what can we all do to make it more socially acceptable?

Know a guy, who had stopped working and was raising the kids. On his experience mostly women stated questions like "On two week leave for the kids, aren't we?" After an answer like "No, I am raising the kids and wifey is working" he almost always got a snobbish remark about men being unable to raise children. So if they can't accept that and instead make snobbish remarks about a man taking care of the household and raising the kids, why should any man want to do that then?

They had a nasty divorce and logically he would have gotten sole or at least main custody of the children. But that's just what should have happened. What happened was the totally normal thing that happens in front of a family court. ~

I could see myself taking care of the household and raising the children - just to prove a point - if I should ever remarry.

I'm pretty sure I'm not going to end up a breeder, but if I did, I would absolutely jump at the opportunity to be a stay-at-home dad.

what can men do? not a lot besides encouraging their friends and family to be more open and respectful of homemakers. what can women do? well first they can respect anyone (man or woman) who sacrifices to stay at home raising kids. My mother always felt it was other women who viewed her as unsuccessful for not having a job on top of 2 children. this is only going to increase for a man that is not also a wage earner.

Because I do not believe that a wife would remain faithful to a stay at home husband.

A man can accept a wife who only really supports his goals and doesn't earn money. A woman would hold a man like that in contempt and the 'loser' would soon find himself divorced.

Women only marry up.

It's funny that feminists accuse men of being 'afraid of strong independent women' because if you look at the real world when a woman finds herself more successful than her partner she divorces him.

If domestic duties are a example of systemized oppression against women, then WHY THE FUCK WOULD I WANT IT?

No wonder women aren't entrepreneurs at the same rate as men. What kind of sales strategy is that? I am a slave to you, so you be a slave to me now....equality, yeaaah. WTF?
