First of all this woman is full of shit. Just watched a 1 hour presentation/speech she gave about how sexist everything in our society is yet provided no proof other than her opinion. She also apparently uses racist/sexist images and language and refers to people as "rape-loving scum" when they believe in innocent until proven guilty.

People like her are best ignored.

Pure slander becuase she knows if bigots like her actually try and debate they will definitely lose, so they just try to build up resentment and fear. Racists also do the same type of thing when they are talking about and trying to marginalize a sub-group.

Ugh. A completely surface analysis, ignoring the question of whether there's any validity to the stance.

Is there bitterness here? Of course there is! A lot of men don't find out about the MRM until they've been chewed up and spit out by the system. They grow up thinking "Sure, maybe date-rape is a bit overblown, maybe divorce settlements are a little unbalanced - but at the end of the day I'm a Gentleman, so I'm not going to worry too much about that."

Then their wife reads Eat Pray Love, and gets a divorce for no reason, severely hurting their children, and taking half his stuff.

Then he sleeps with one wrong woman, one drunk night, and has his life ruined by an illegitimate child.

Then he phones the police to protect him from a violent, mentally ill girlfriend, and winds up having to pay an attorney to defend himself against assault charges.

It's right about then that he starts to notice that he's not the only man getting the shit-end of the stick.

Bitterness? Sure we got some bitterness; what do you expect? That's human nature. Hell, a female friend of mine just got out of a bad marriage, and she's hating on men right now - I fully support her in this, as I would anyone who's been badly hurt.

But underneath the 'group therapy' elements to the MRM are legitimate grievances, and astute observations that Feminism is in fact destroying men, while simultaneously making women miserable. There's some actual thoughtful analysis here - but I guess Marcotte has an easier time ridiculing the anger of people who have been victims.

I love women. Nothing fills me with greater rage than crimes done to them. I can't begin to express the cold, sick, black anger I get when I hear about a rape. Women's rights are something that matters to me.

But what about you, Marcotte? Do you love men? Do you have a father, brothers, uncles, nephews, or friends that matter to you? Do you care about them being exposed to injustice, and the hands of selfish women and a biased legal system?

Or is it all about you, you, you? Anything that doesn't directly benefit you just doesn't matter, I guess.
