So in my High School History Class, there are these two girls who I know, one of them is in a long distance LTR, other is single (As far as I know.) and a closer friend (Though lately she hardly acknowledges me.). Yesterday, I decided to fool around with them. First I went in between them and put my arms around both of them and clarify if we are gonna group up for a group project. They smile awkwardly and tell me to stop. I do, but then I go again, and more persistent this time. After a few more stops I do stop and leave, shrugging it off. A little later I poke their sides to get a little tickle laugh, they just get more annoyed. I stop for the rest of class. Today, when we got into groups, I sit next to them to join. However, they are annoyed and said I made them uncomfortable and that I'm inviting myself into the group, which I kinda was, trying to be direct and assertive. I don't say anything to maintain frame. It goes on like this for the rest of class, just silence and me saying barely anything, and getting constant groans from them. Then later the teacher approaches me and says I shouldn't mess with them and that he'll put me in a different group. Now I think they overreacted a little bit, (I didn't do anything physical today.) but what's your guys' thoughts? I'm still new and this and wanna know what I'm doing wrong and right, and if I'm confused on how I should do certain things. Be critical as fuck.
