Also, did anyone notice how female gamers are almost instantly labeled as hawt while male gamers get labeled as nerd?

Although I must admit that in my area gaming is quite acceptable since a lot of people do it. (ftw)

If I play a MMORPG like World of Warcraft, all I have to do to get lots of equipment for which I'd otherwise have to grind is play a female character and put a bit of effort into my roleplaying. It's fucking pathetic.

Actually, female gamers don't have a hard time. They're extremely privileged in the gaming world. Every little white knight male is up in arms to give them things, protect them, shower them with attention, and even promote them to positions they shouldn't be in. When the girls fail miserably in their roles, all the good players are supposed to pretend they don't suck. No thanks.

It must be so hard to be a girl gamer attention whore.

I don't understand why girls have to make themselves known online. It's anonymous for a reason. I'm not saying that they deserve all the creepy attention, but at a certain point, you have to wonder why they let people know their sex if they know they're gonna get harassed.
