Didn't anyone else take a grammar class as a kid? Maybe I'm getting old, but as I learned it, masculine pronouns are conventionally used by default to refer to persons of unknown gender. Now you are starting to sound like all the feminists that got their panties in a bunch over this grammatical convention saying it was belittling women and demanded that we make grammar more pc by using awkward sounding substitutions like "he or she" "s/he" or the plural "they" any time you want to refer to a generic person such as a cashier.

And after many years in retail I can assure you that customers have no problem berating or bullying both male and female employees! :P

I'm unsurprised. Cosmo is the only mag I've ever seen on the rack with the same shitty content rehashed every month. Random number of sex tips/tricks/moves to try TONIGHT. look good/better/sexy/hot NOW. random story with the word ass or bitch in the title. Understanding him/guys/men/whoever. Random story about the office/work.

On EVERY SINGLE ISSUE. Check the front cover sometime at the grocery store, you'll see what I mean. Shitty thing is, the advice is woefully inaccurate (I've done the retail cashier thing...being a bitch gets you NO help 90% of the time...being nice works much better), but the number of women who will try this because cosmo wrote it so it must be true will probably scare you...

I find it interesting they made the cashier male, in a virtually exclusively female magazine. Then it was fine to rant at him.
