Sorry man, there is no way you will ever make Prostate or Testicular cancer anywhere near as profitable as Breast Cancer.

Boobs are great. Everyone can rally behind them. Women like them because they have them, Men like them because we do. Even babies do. It's a great spokesperson, and people can feel good about themselves knowing they helped...somehow...and boobs bro!

I don't see this happening with prostates or testicles. What is the prostate? Some weird organ that no one talks about. It doesn't look cool, it doesn't turn people on, and it won't sell merchandise. Testicles? They stand a slightly better chance, but no one takes them seriously. Mostly it's just a funny place for guys to get hit or to put on your truck.

But this misses the point anyways. Breast Cancer Awareness is nothing more than a great marketing ploy to cash in on. This, prostate cause, MUST be about actually solving the problem and not "raising awareness". We know. Now what?

This really bothers me too, and has for quite a while now. The more I see the pink ribbons, the more I wonder, "Where are the other colors? Doesn't anyone care about other types of cancer too?" I don't understand why other forms of cancer have to take a backseat compared to breast cancer awareness. I mean yeah, I'm a woman, but that doesn't mean I care about a type of cancer that could harm me more than I care about a type of cancer that could harm my boyfriend, or father, or male friends, or ANY guy.

Instead of letting your wife sweep under your concern, ask her again.

Say something like: "Ha ha, yeah, I know that I can go out and hold a sign on the corner to raise awareness. But that's not my question nor would it change the outcome of my question. Ill ask again, 'Why is it you always hear about breast cancer, but you never hear about prostate cancer.'"

Most women will avoid answering that question like the plague. In fact, ive never heard a woman actually answer that question. They always say things like your wife said so they can avoid having to actually think the thought of "Well, women are treated better than men in our society."

Not ribbons.. We need something that draws attention to the plight. Something that will gain the attention to adults, but bring life long awareness to children as well, so that when they grow up they remember the lessons and awareness of their youth... oh I got it!
