Found this at the end of the article:

‘False allegations undermine genuine victims of rape and the continuing efforts of the criminal justice system to improve the confidence of those victims,’ she said.

One of the boys attempted to commit suicide, but the real victim is not him but a future woman who won't be believed when she claims she was raped.

Her comment makes no more sense than if, when discussing a rape conviction, I were to point out that next next time some guy is falsely accused of rape, he won't be believed when he says he didn't do it, and then to make that the focus of my regret instead of the woman that was just raped.

when i first read this, i was worried the 4 men had been in jail for a long time. luckily they had not. this woman needs to go to jail for a long time to set a precedent that you cannot falsely accuse a man of rape just because you don't get your way. this even should also help in getting false rape cases thrown out (i hope)

Every false rape claim is no more a men's rights issue than every legitimate rape claim is a feminist issue.

This is a really obvious and rare case of false allegation of abuse. This frustrates me because there is no such outcry for the far more common false allegation that happens in family courts.

I think "wicked" could be replaced with very disturbed or possibly very ill.
