Nope. There are plenty of fair reasons to have a semester of bad grades, or even more of them.

You will hardly be asked about it, unless before you they looked into a candidate that is surprisingly similar to you AND doesn't have the bad grade.

Most companies pay surprisingly low importance to bad grades either way, they are difficult to compare among institutions and around here, even between teachers within the best institutions. High grades are a differential, not a must have. Top achievers, prize winners and career or actuation oriented extra curriculars are gold though.

Honestly anything 3.0+ is still good and people won't question. If it's below 3.0 then it's going to start looking bad. Try to repair grades if you can.

Of course the higher the better, but experience > grades.

Take it as somebody with a subpar transcript. Get those grades up. But more importantly network. Companies and business owners hire people they like

3.0 isn't "horrible". Beyond that, after you get your first job, nobody gives a shit what your GPA was.

We'll definitely don't mention what your damn degree is. That's irrelevant. Come on dude; if you want help lay some details down. Because a 3.0 in Accounting is crap and you wasted your time. But a 3.0 in Sociology is fucking great.
