That is absolutely ridiculous. Why are there different standards for men and women (of the same age, for the same crime?) Usually, we have different amounts of strength than the other sex, but that has nothing to do with crimes committed. We should have the same penalties, no matter what. What is the point of emphasizing equal rights if the punishments aren't equal?

Is there a specific crime for which men are sentenced more harshly than women? Maybe I haven't read enough about Russian sentencing; I don't know.

I can't understand why crimes would be punished more for one gender than the other. I'm in the U.S., and sentences are much higher for males than females in many cases, which is wrong, wrong, wrong. In this day and age, women have just as much power as men- and even more, if you consider the justice system.

You won't hear about this in the MSM like all of the other bs. Imagine only women were given life imprisonment, you'd never hear the end of it
