From the Publisher's Weekly blurb on the Amazon.com page for Kathleen Parker's book "Save the Males":

"Although Parker's deliberate provocations make for lively reading, the majority of her claims are too fanciful and unsubstantiated to be genuinely thought provoking or even interesting (erectile dysfunction is caused by young, sexually aggressive women; women serving in the army put the nation at risk). Parker makes a poor conspiracy theorist, and her statistics and unverifiable theories are unable to make her case, however vehement or entertaining their presentation."

I'm not sure about her stance on the army but the blurb about E-D sounds like an unexplored psychological component that needs another look. Naturally I'm speaking from my own experience, which may suffer from confirmation bias, but it's clear that writers like Ms. Parker are working against the popular grain.

It is nice to not be bashed as a male...sometimes it gets confusing in this here world. Do you chase her? Do you lay off?

I had thought a few years ago that the gender war was abating but many articles in the last year confirm it's not only alive but heating up. What is clear is that men should not surrender an inch. It's nice to be appreciated, as seen here, but when one acknowledges the context it does make you boil.

Look, Kathleen Parker's dad seems ok in a stagnant old-fashioned 1950s sort of way, even though I get the idea that his ideas were encased in concrete and he was pretty inflexible. I also appreciate her deep love for the man. That I get.

I just hate her, the conservative lackey.
