Is the real problem here that he was 17, or that she was a teacher? Regarding the age, where I live, a 24 year old (which she was at the time) can actually be with as young as 16. As far as her being a teacher, she was a substitute teacher, and not actually his teacher. I’m not excusing the situation, but I don’t think it was terrible.
