I followed this guy on Instagram that I knew from an industry event. He is very handsome, charismatic, ambitious, and outdoorsy which I love. He hit me up and we talked for a little bit until he said he wanted to take me out on a date.... In his city, which is 3 hrs away from my city. 🙄

I was curious if he meant a real date or like netflix & chill so I asked him what his idea of a date was and he suggested ice cream. 🙄

I called him out on the fact that he just asked me to drive 6 hrs round trip to get ice cream and that we should at least be doing something fun. I suggested a particular arcade place & all he responded was "That sounds fun :) but I'm not sure if it'll be open soon :( ” no other suggestions from him 🙄

Another red flag is that he mentioned buying a PS5 recently and how it "made lockdown less terrible". He said this + doing outdoorsy stuff kept him busy. I didn't like that he brought up the PS5 like 3 times in our short conversation.

I stopped talking to him because clearly he does not see my value. But I keep thinking to myself we could have had so much fun together - we have mutual interests and I think we would've had so much chemistry. I love his smile and I thought of so many cute things we could do even through long distance (cooking date over video call, sending cute/sexy voice messages, etc) before meeting in person. I guess I just need a little encouragement to stop thinking like this... I am clearly just building him up in my head. Any advice, ladies?
