I am happy to be wrong here but this is my two cents.

It seems to me that male advocate groups need to separate threads or spaces devoted to emotional outlets, ranting, emotional support and all that from sober discussion of issues and strategy.

I think both are very valuable.

Sharing personal experiences or news pieces that just ends in a roundtable of “ look how fucked things are” may have its place, but there should also be a separate space where replies to these topics are only practical suggestion, coordination, and real attempts at analyses.
