We have to highlight that the steadily sinking educational performance of boys is something (pretty) new and a change. It has been sinking steadily in recent years, has now reached an alarming rate and can't be further neglected and dismissed. I'm saying this because some people might blame it once again at boys to underperform as an excuse to dismiss it but it was by far not always like that.

The performance between girls and boys used to be (rather) balanced 10 years ago. Imo and the one of many other persons around the world, (toxic) feminism and misandry are this new things that have caused the steadily sinking performance of boys. E.g. 'a significant part' of female teachers giving boys worse marks for the same work, if the gender is known (https://www.bbc.com/news/education-31751672).

More than 75% of all teachers are female and a considerable part of those +75% is usually hostile towards boys in general and exercises in-group favoritism towards girls; https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/In-group_favoritism).

In addition, girls even notably underperformed several decades ago and we supported them, which I approve. But now we are supposed to support boys in schools.)

Considerably more male teachers might improve the situation of boys in schools and even beyond school. It is very important to do serious efforts to encourage more men to become teachers with the goal of getting 50% of male teachers in the medium-term.

Similar to what racists do, some people collectively blame, punish and resent ALL boys and men for the abuses of a minority of them while being indifferent to the abuses a minority vice versa commits.

The Global Initiative for Boys and Men reviewed 4-years of data from the CA Dept. of Ed. and learned that race and boys is a systemic problem in California schools. California is not alone. Many departments of education across the country do not collect gender-data on high school graduation rates. According to the Brookings Institute, only 37 states collect gender demographic-data on graduation rates. In its study Brookings reported that boys earned fewer high school diplomas in all 37 of the states it studied.

California is one of 37 states that collects graduation-data based on gender. Retrieving data on boys is not always so simple though. The data is often layered behind other links, and those unfamiliar with the system will not necessarily find the data easily. The California Department of Education has long been focused on “race/ethnicity” and programs that support girls more so than boys. Engaging Girls in STEM, for instance, remains a central tenet of the CA Department of Education. These types of programs encourage girls to pursue STEM professions where they are underrepresented, mostly in the computer sciences and engineering fields. Females are doing quite well in other STEM professions such as biological and biomedical science where they go on to represent 72% of undergraduate degrees according to the National Center for Educational Statistics (NCES). Encouraging girls is an important part of any educational system. There are, however, fewer checks and balances when it comes to the status of boys, even when gender (sex) is more of a determining factor than race.

This is completely shocking, yet not something I didn't expect considering my personal experience in highschool (was in Europe tho, but it seems to be the same). I personally find it quite interesting that the ones that are deemed "privileged" are the ones that have to fight for equality right now while the ones that have it indeed better still consider themselves oppressed, especially since the data is there and accesible. How can people be that blind?

It is FSM means free school means, market of SES. A high SES Indian girl has 8x higher proportion of higher education than low SES white boy in UK.

Whats rather disappointing here is is people constantly underplay this issue by saying hey no its not male issue its class and race.... they did this in recent parliament committee debate in UK, thankfully the ex head of the entire university admissions service was there and she corrected these detractors by saying no its a male issue and we need to address it, correctly point out a poor boy does worse than poor girl, rich boy worse than rich girl and so on, and not me but her, the ex head of university admissions for the nation has blamed these gender warriors backlash for this deafening silence on the issue.

The above is utterly disgraceful.... more disgraceful was that it was NOT MENTIONED IN A SINGLE NEWSPAPER ARTICLE at all, we had endless discussion on race, class, school area, but not gender as it appeared to be there wrong gender!
