Oh good lord their calculations are even more biased than I thought.

She said they take people in part time employment, convert their hours to as if they were full time, then do a blank comparison.

In other words, a part time employee is having their hours multiplied to arrive at "full time hours", then compared to person who is actually a full time employee. Because more women are in part time employment, the comparison this way naturally shows women earning less than men. So this is how they show a "gender pay gap"!... it's unbelievable!

Obviously a part time employee has lower hourly wages than a full time employee! That's nothing to do with gender discrimination that's just how careers work!

I have to question how this woman can have the audicity to go through with all this, she MUST know she is being dishonest. Or she is so blinded by feminism and the "women are victims" mentality that she really doesn't see the issue with this.

This is honestly embarrassing. They basically admit that they are trying to guess from data they deliberately chose to be incomplete on, and which they deliberately choose to interpret im a way that ignores a large part of the percent.

The gender pay gap is no due to discrimation. It shouldnt even be called gender pay gap (gender implying women) as in many industries women get paid more and in UK women get paid more part time work, and in many countries young women get paid more than men

She treats him like a child that refuses to understand the entire time without ever calling into question that maybe he has a valid point. If your point and findings are so shaky that you can't answer the most basic question about your data maybe you should be more thorough before presenting it in an official capacity.

My boss would ream me a new one if I came to a presentation without being able to address a glaring problem in my report like this.

I suggest contacting your government department that looks into work place equality etc and asking them this and what measures they are doing to address this. It is normally easy to do, via email.
