A while back the UN made a chart with some of these, and with some that made no sense. I removed the nonsense ones (like "instead of landlord say owner", I mean, no I'm not going to say "mr smith is my owner"). I also added a few of the ones they blatantly forgot, like mansplaining.

A male nurse is a male nurse to make clear his sex. When I have a girlfriend or a wife I much prefer the word over the colder 'partner'. In many other cases you can replace 'man' for 'woman' and vice versa except when you believe men and women don't exist, but why should you.
