Hi y'all!

New housewife here (been at it about 3 months now) and wondering what you all do to help prevent burnout? I know being a housewife is a 24/7 job, and I've been trying lately to take some breaks here and there to rest, play video games for a bit, watch a show or movie, go to the gym 4 times a week, etc. but the work never stops. 3 and a half days out of the week I'm helping my boyfriend take care of his daughter while we have her, and if I'm not helping with her I'm cooking (lots of meal prepping!) cleaning, laundry, planning weekly grocery trip, y'all know the drill. I have a good routine down and I'm getting good at prepping and planning things in advance, but, to make a long story short, yesterday was a particularly exhausting day which led to me having a full blown meltdown this morning from exhaustion and being overwhelmed by everything. My boyfriend (who is the sweetest most wonderful man on the planet) had me take the morning to go lay back down and get some rest/gaming time in to help me rest and recharge after breakfast. We talk about how I was feeling and he encouraged me to take more days for myself and time to breathe. I feel guilty taking time for myself but, I know I can't let myself get this burntout to the point of having a meltdown as it's not healthy for myself or my relationship.

This leads me to my questions of: what do you all do to help avoid getting to this point of burnout, and what are some things you all do to help yourself relax and get some self care in? TIA! :)
