Literally same though I have no idea what aphantasia is. Like I know a man is hot but I need to talk to him and see how his brain works before I can feel anything.
/r/RedPillWomen24/07/26 05:22 PM
1

I've only ever had burning desire for one man in my life and he was the worst person I've ever met. Also got severely alpha widowed from him. Maybe good advice for men but for women i dont think thats good advice.
/r/RedPillWomen24/07/26 05:20 PM

I have experienced that once and you're right that it leaves an imprint. However that kind of chemistry doesnt always lead to healthy relationships. Did you end up marrying him ?

Thanks. I always appreciate your input. Yes I get the yips, im an introvert who went from being painfully shy to learning to fake it till I make it but with attractive men I internally freak out. I do also think its a confidence thing and yes I assume they will cheat. I mean I've seen pics of us side to side and the difference is indeed very noticeable. I'd rather someone who can take care of me and isnt wanted by every single other woman who sees him. I dont do competition, I like peace of mind…

Thanks I will do my best to practice that.

They arent the same thing at all (for me). Someone could look like a model but he opens his mouth and ruins it for me.
/r/RedPillWomen24/07/26 02:15 PM

I do. Listening to them talk about work and how they've singlehandedly built their business up from nothing is so hot. I love a driven smart man.

My personal opinion is they are faithful yes. They are happy to find someone attractive that actually likes them (I do) and dont always have game. Also im great in the bedroom which helps.

Intelligence is very attractive to me. I want to learn something new. Watch him be a boss. I like a good sense of humor. Driven, responsible, handles things with ease. Sharp. Successful too yes.

Dont expect someone to improve themselves for you. Men dont work like that. Find someone who is already decent without expecting them to change. Your standards are good but at your age a little hard to find..most 21 yos are idiots. The best way to vet at your age and indeed any age is 1) dont be a party girl 2) make him wait around 2 months for sex 3) make sure hes consistent with communication and dates (no ghosting and coming back) and 4) observe his friend group. You are who you associate wit…

No, its not. Its very simple. Move on.
/r/RedPillWomen15/07/26 07:06 AM

Girl this is so bad I genuinely dont understand how you're on the RPW sub. First of all the age difference and his behaviour overall..you're having phone sex with a man youve never met and has not done anything for you or provided in any way. He disappeared for months and you let him back in. U need to move on asap
/r/RedPillWomen15/07/26 07:05 AM

How old is he? Why are you still the gf after 4 years? Whats he like as a partner?

Our experiences differ greatly.
/r/RedPillWomen09/07/26 09:10 AM
3

This may be a controversial opinion but stop expecting men to have these qualities..most simply don't. Enjoy them for what they do offer instead.
/r/RedPillWomen09/07/26 07:35 AM

It does sound like hes lost interest. However you absolutely should not be asking him that. Just let the behaviour speak for itself. You had one date and you are already demanding he talk to u a lot etc. Thats quite unhealthy. You should be out living your life barely noticing his delays. Its giving anxious and clingy and if he was losing interest before u showed clinging, you made it way worse. You gotta be comfortable with dates not going anywhere especially after one date.
/r/RedPillWomen08/07/26 03:57 AM
13

Just breathe before u open your mouth. Practise being less reactive in general. Are you speaking as a reaction or have you thought about your response? High value people in general are slow to speak and very careful with their choice of words. Dont react, simply act thoughtfully.
/r/RedPillWomen07/07/26 09:19 AM
2

Yeah. Well im 34 and been on RPW for a long time, I'm vetting well and won't be with someone I need to control. I know what I want.

I feel it also has to with the fact that men get comfortable even if mostly unhappy. They have a joint asset, joint bank accounts, food cooked for them, clothes washed home cleaned kids looked after. They will not leave comfort for the unknown.
/r/RedPillWomen03/07/26 07:47 AM
4

Yes. Men just get bored of the same woman. I used to get annoyed at that but its just how they are biologically wired. Work, routine kids etc doesnt help either.
/r/RedPillWomen03/07/26 07:45 AM
2

Fully agree. A man can be rich and provide nothing and a middle class man can work hard and make your life soft and comfortable.
/r/RedPillWomen30/06/26 04:41 AM
4

Because a provider is usually a gentleman by nature and is treating the woman like a lady. Courting properly. Mentioning sex too early will put any self respecting woman off him. A provider that likes you will not risk that.
/r/RedPillWomen29/06/26 11:39 AM
0

Look your best, feminine self at all times. Wear dresses, hair and nails done, make up done, and keep it classy. Nothing overdone. Other than that, vet fast and hard. A provider will have a good job and will want to court u properly. Dinner dates at nice restaurants. Flowers in the first few dates and even a small gift. He will worry about how you get to and from dates. Is he offering to pick u up/send u a car? A provider will not be pushy for sex and absolutely do not put out early, do not even…
/r/RedPillWomen29/06/26 03:45 AM

Can confirm. My husband is way better looking than me. I'm also a bookish brunette, complete with glasses and all 😂 (though I do prefer contacts). I've also gained quite a bit of weight due to pregnancy and instead of making me feel pressure to lose it ASAP, he can barely keep his hands off my new curves. 😂 Just for the record before everyone comes for me, I've already lost of most of the weight and was very skinny beforehand so now I'm just curvy / normal.

Eek I'm a little late to the party here but damn I'm surprised you stuck around for as long as you have. You will be second best the entire time you're with him if you stay. You'll be like the 3rd wheel in your own marriage. Your SIL was trying to do you a solid and warn you. I'd listen between those lines if I were you. I'm sorry but no grown man should have his momma wash his clothes for him. That in itself is a massive red flag.

I hate that "of course he knows" or "he should know". It's so wrong. We should be reminding each other regularly, if not daily.

Do you generally not react if someone were to approach you? Do you send out flirty vibes at all? There's a great post around here by one of the endorsed contributors about how a great way to signal your interest is to drop your handkerchief like they did way back when.. obviously we don't walk around with handkerchiefs anymore but the point is the same...Try find that post. Well, I'm officially working part time and home in the afternoon so I can be with my baby. I could not be happier. I thought hubby would not be ok with it but it was actually his suggestion. Feeling very blessed lately.

Same. Especially the part about thanking him and moving on. I had the same problem with my husband and he has definitely stopped telling me what to do in my realm but sometimes he will still do it. I found the best thing to do is just "hmm that's cool thanks I'll look into it" and just change the subject. There is no winning in that discussion at all and both parties will just end up annoyed. Just politely move the discussion on. Do not engage!!!

I honestly don't know either. I will also be doing purees, I don't like the BLW. I don't understand the weird hate either. My mum did puree and the idea of BLW horrified her lol.

I'm struggling to be a good wife while trying to take care of a 4 month old and myself. Feeling very guilty about housework not always being done (place is always clean but also usually always messy, clean laundry in piles everywhere) and I'm going back to work on Monday. I find I don't have much to talk to hubby about besides our little one and I don't really give him much attention anymore. He hasn't complained but I know he feels it. In response to that he hasn't exactly been super affectiona…

...Maybe you're into men?
/r/RedPillWives10/12/22 01:01 PM

This paints a very different picture. Are you married? Did you vet him properly? This isn't a problem of you being unable to trust, this seems more of a problem of him not being worthy of your trust to begin with. I feel like having a job should be a basic requirement and he's shown you he doesn't really care. Ask yourself if this is who you want to be tied to forever.

We're having a baby in a week and it's hitting me that it's basically the end of an era. How do we keep the spark going! I'm worried that I'll either be stuck in mommy mode or he'll just see me as mommy from now on. I can't shake the fear of losing us. :(

Great him with a smile when he gets home and at least offer him a drink and a snack if not a meal. Thank him for things that he goes even if it's small eg taking the trash out. Compliment him on his work ethic and for how well he takes care of his family. ❤️
/r/RedPillWives22/09/22 12:38 PM

Does he stick to his word with the important things at least? Does he make decisions with the best interests of your family in mind? I would focus on the important, big picture matters.

Hubby came home after work, opened the door and before saying anything else he said "Oh yes!" Apparently he entered our apartment building and smelled something delicious being cooked and hoped it was coming from our apartment and it was, so he was very happy about that. 😅 What a lovely compliment from him today. 😍

Because it sorta signifies that you don't respect yourself enough to create boundaries. You accept the bare minimum. So the bare minimum is what you will get. Don't expect people to treat you fairly in life, it doesn't work that way.
/r/RedPillWomen19/05/22 05:12 PM

That makes it so much worse. You're jumping through hoops for someone who is bottom of the barrel right now. Like no wonder he doesn't respect you. Did you watch Friends? You're being Mona right now, just accepting the absolute minimum and jumping through hoops for it, too. Have you considered he just may not be worthy of respect? Not every guy is worthy of respect and submission. Does the reason he's acting like this really matter? Let's give him the benefit of the doubt and say he's acting lik…

Your question relates to fixing the marriage and I'm not suggesting you leave but I haven't really seen anything positive about this man. In what ways is he contributing to your life? You are providing as well as homemaking and he's doing what, exactly, apart from berating you?

Pregnancy hormones in the 1st trimester made me a bit of a monster. I would just be so snappy at hubby and always try to "win" literally any discussion, followed by sobbing & apologies. Its like anything I've read (Laura Doyle, FW) were briefly erased from my memory. 😂😅 It was very very rough. Luckily I am into my 2nd trimester and I'm not nearly as moody or emotional & I feel like myself again. Last night we even had a disagreement that would have enraged me a month ago. You're not asking to use it, you're just checking in with your spouse and actually considering their opinion. You don't have to always agree but at least don't make it sound like you could care less. Do you otherwise follow the traditions of your religion 100%? What about the ones that benefit him only?

That sounds awful. How does the conversation lead to arguing? How are you presenting your problems? Are you getting angry / reacting etc or are you coming from a place of feminine vulnerability. Are you telling him what he needs to do, or are you telling him how you feel? Hint: crying works. Let him be your hero that protects you, don't try 2 nag him into submission.

I'd be willing to bet he's annoyed that you want to spend the extra money rather than go with his suggestion. I think that's what annoyed him first, perhaps it triggered an insecurity in him that was then worsened by the rest of your comment. Perhaps he feels he can't provide you with the luxuries that you want. What are his finances like?

Same! I am expecting my first and am enjoying her videos even though I'm 5 years older than her. I don't see how anyone can watch, for example her latest video, and find something to hate. I find that very weird. Her new video was a delight to watch.

It seems you've tried quite a few different methods to no avail. At this point I would stop focusing on him. Take care of yourself, be bubbly and cheerful and hopefully when he sees that you're still having a good time, he'll snap out of it. I think ignoring the sulky child might just work here.

Most likely it's a result of getting older and more mature. I used to text a lot more when I was younger. Definitely don't have as much time now and I'd much prefer a busy man who's out growing his network and his wealth than a man sitting around texting anyway. Wouldn't you?

I think you need a serious discussion with him. Is it possible you're just too nice and letting him away with a lot? I'm not suggesting you go rambo on him but like, what are you getting out of this? You pay your own share of the bills and you do more than he does around the house. So what's his role, exactly? In what way is he improving your life?
/r/RedPillWomen21/03/22 02:11 PM

The only thing that really struck me here is that you split costs equally. Do you make equal amounts? You are putting in 50/50 financially and what, 80/20 around the house?

I'm beyond grateful for my healthy pregnancy. I'm 10 weeks. For some reason I had convinced myself it would take a long time to happen for me, if it ever did. It took no time at all and I'm so thankful every day all day. I feel so blessed to be receiving excellent health care during this journey, with a husband who is trying his best every day for our growing little family. I'm grateful that I live in a country where I'm safe and know my baby will be too. Our families are both so excited for us …

I think that's great and not stupid at all. It's how we expand our knowledge and gain new perspectives on life. If we weren't curious we wouldnt get very far in life (my opinion of course.) I am 30, recently married and just found out I'm pregnant and I really don't think I would be in my current position if I hadn't discovered this sub many years ago. :) It has helped me in so man…

I'm a little late to the party BUT I was a member of a pregnancy sub until recently. I posted a question relating to the fact that now that I'm pregnant, I feel differently about my pet and worried about hygiene etc. Basically worried for the sake of my unborn baby. Therefore, your situation isn't the same. I will say it does sound like it worked out great for you but I would say you two are the exception, not the rule. I would be wary of advising young women to put their entire life on hold and serve someone else, without a ring or even an indication that one is coming. Not everyone will treat them as honorably as you treat yours.. You give most people an inch and they take a mile...

Did she do this after you literally told her you didn't want her? Was she employed by your Co and receiving a salary or otherwise making money with you? Were you giving her money? Was she married to you / engaged / did you tell her it would lead to that? How old were both of you? What year was this?
/r/RedPillWomen02/02/22 04:42 PM

Gtfo with that. You mentioned a part time job so she can pay bills. How can she do that and be a full time homemaker? What you are looking for is a doormat, not a wife. 100% support and zero maintenance. 😂😂😂😂Best of luck with that.

I never said it had to be monetary. Hence I used the word "what" and not "how much". There are women out there who will give him those things and split everything half way. Men that you barely know are not your ATM machine. Also if you're 3 years older than him, can we really say he's getting your "youth"?

Agreed!! If he's making substantially more and wants to hang out at 5* restaurants every week then thats a different discussion altogether. Assuming you're not in the above situation, I don't think it's horrible if every once in a while we pick up the tab? Say you know he had a bad week or he's tired or stressed or he got you a really nice gift or sthn.. I don't think there's anything wrong in the occasional treat. He's a person too, not just a man.

In that case hear him out, he hasn't even said anything about 50/50 yet. He might surprise you and mention something totally different. Don't get into the habit of assuming his intentions. Edited to add that I've just seen your post history.. Are you still dating a 20 year old? Guuuurl come on, does he even have an income? If you want someone to pay for your stuff, 20 year old are not the way to go unless he's a trust fund kid.

I think it's lovely for a man to pay in the beginning of a relationship. 6 months in though and I'd definitely be asking what he's getting in return? Do you occasionally pick up the tab for a couple of drinks / coffee / ice cream? Have you cooked or baked anything for him? He may not need 50/50 but 100/0 may be unfair to him. Are you putting in effort to contribute in other areas? You could technically dump him tomorrow so I can understand why he'd be hesitant to pay every tab always.... 50/50 c…

I don't think anyone is entitled to anything in this life. If you want something you go get it / make it happen. I do think when you get married there's an understanding that you will be having regular sex. But, as they say in RP spaces, attraction cannot be negotiated. So, if Beckys husband had gained a ton of weight, stopped grooming for her and trying to attract her, stopped doing nice things for her, stopped being as hygienic as he was when he met her, and sits around the house in tattered c…

I mean, you handle it according to how you feel about it. Has he ever had a same sex experience? I ask because if not, then it may be harder to fight the temptation vs cheating with another woman. I totally get that but a CEO of a start up may not have the time to plan dates if he's trying to get a whole business off the ground. This could also be an indication of what he'll be like in a relationship / marriage. Just depends on what kind of man you're looking for. You could just STFU and avoid arguments. You're waiting for him to become a whole other person which isn't gonna happen unless HE wants to. He IS the man, whether or not he's the poster boy for masculinity, so actually YOU'RE the one at fault for continuing to harp on. I agree with this. It used to take me forever to clean, because I let it get messy. I can do the whole flat in 2 hours now because my dishes are done, my laundry isn't crazy and I vacuum every 2nd day. Granted its only a two bedroom flat but it's quite spacious.

We had this issue at the start of the relationship and I was honest about it. Tell him you think it's good that he's so ontop of everything but you like to also help and feel like you're contributing. Find ways to learn new skills and develop your existing ones. In RP language can he get out of his feminine so that you can be in yours?

We're not used to rejection, at all, so it's very confusing when it does happen.

Eek. No judgement on your job, a bag is a bag, but I think you are signing yourself up for a Danielle & Garrick situation from Seeking Sister Wife. That was painful to WATCH, never mind live. I can't imagine being in that position. What if the girl(s) he chooses is/are legit WAY hotter than you?

Maybe start a todo list and only have one thing at a time, then add another and so on. Rather than having a todo list with 20 different things for one day which would definitely be overwhelming.

This right here. I'm not sure how being the bread winner and also having babies would work and I would be very worried for her if I was her older sister / mum. I can't help but feel she'd be tying herself to a liability since she may end up taking care of HIM, both financially and otherwise, since he's quite a bit older. Idk OP, he'd have to be petty fucking amazing. Is he willing to be a stay at home dad?

Try to look at your period of unemployment as a blessing. You can use that time to develop skills you couldn't spend time on before. Now is the time to do all the things! My period of unemployment lasted 4 months in 2020 and it was amazing. I bought myself my first apron and turned into a little Stepford Wife for a while. 😅😍

Have my morning coffee in my favourite mug on the balcony, with my cat. Do hair & make up (I got new pallets & that motivates me to do make up daily). Spent time with my husband. Eat some good food. I'm a big foodie despite my petite frame so a bite of something delicious puts me in a great mood. Do something nice for someone else.

You could be honest and say "listen, id definitely be up for like a real date but hanging out at urs isn't a date. :) " No arguments, no moaning, just facts, presented sweetly. And see what he says. Sorry if I'm harsh but 30 year old men KNOW what we expect. Steve Harvey has some good stuff on this, check it out.

His "reason" is irrelevant and likely made up. Don't fall for BS girl. He knew his situation and fucked it.
/r/RedPillWomen23/12/21 04:44 PM

Why bother at all? A man knows what a first date with someone he respects SHOULD look like. All he did was invite you round. He's literally telling you he doesn't think you're worth a real date. How old are you two? I genuinely would not bother. No investment no tits.

"Breaking up just to be back together within a day sent the message that you would put up with anything." Very true. What you allow is what will continue. Also like I stopped doing that after HS. If you're out, you're out for a reason.

I think the answer to this is very simple and RP. Men are naturally the hunters. If he's not hunting you, then that should tell you everything you need to know.
/r/RedPillWomen16/12/21 06:13 PM

I can't get through that wall of text. I personally wouldn't date a younger man. We already age faster as it is, I don't think it's a smart move for a woman to make.

I don't think this is necessarily a RPW problem. IMO this is the Cool Girl problem referred to in Gone Girl. She's trying to act like she's "one of the guys" and it doesn't bother her, when clearly it does. I agree with everything else you said though. 👍

I must say, I really like your comments. I've watched enough JP to know that if I'm ever blessed with a son, he will not be coddled all his life. I want to raise a man, not a man child. You and your husband seem to have it figured out. :)

Have you pointed out the benefits of being married? When the pandemic hit and my now husband realised (ahem) that if anything happened to one of us, we're not married so we probably couldn't visit each other in hospital / emergency situations or if the worst happened, I'd just be on my own... That's when he kinda realised that it's probably beneficial to us and my safety and security, if we were married. Especially if we have children. Does he want a wife or a baby momma? 🤔

To be fair my guy said the same thing but still put a ring on it. I don't necessarily blame men for being scared of getting married with some of the horror movies we hear lately. But I think it's very important that he said he's willing to do it if you want to do it. I don't think this is necessarily a deal breaker. I think it's very possible that he will come around. In this instance though I would be VERY careful about giving husband benefits. I would give little snippets of what life would be…

I wholeheartedly disagree with nagging for household chores. I get annoyed from time to time as well but 99% of the time I chose to ignore it. Do I want a clean house, or a happy relationship? I feel as women we often have to chose, and I know which I would prefer. OK so he forgets to pick up his clothes - I find my man's socks outside sometimes, don't ask, idk, and I'm not sure he knows either half the time. 😂🤣😅 We joke about it though, it's just fucking socks. I would still love some additional info as to what is so kinky. Are we talking like gross things like a foot or scat fetish? BDSM? Role playing? Would anything be illegal? It sounds like you're very incompatible tbh. You say you've discussed it but have you told him that it basically goes one out of two ways and neither of those are fun for you? Maybe you can come to a compromise that one time it's fairly vanilla and romantic and the next time it's a bit kinkier? That way you're both satisfied, …

I've got a question but it may not be so simple. I enjoy sex but I hate when the initiation is "wanna fuck" or anything along those lines. Please help. I've explained it to him in nice sweet ways but he will keep doing it. "I'm horny." "I want sex." It basically shuts down and locks itself up when I hear that. Anyone else? Any tips? It feels like I'm providing a service rather than having sex with my husband when he says that.

Pointing and laughing? You should try to understand that if you're literally raised a feminist (which arguably a large portion of the west is raised on similar values to feminism even if they don't call it as such) then that's literally all you know. Yes I much prefer doing the grocery shopping myself too! My husband and I have an inside joke that putting pasta on the list and sending him to the store, leads to an infinite supply of pasta. 😂 Putting any kind of tomato product on the list will mean I get a different tomato product. 😂 🤷‍♀️ Division of labour according to our strengths is definitely the way to go.

This is actually something I've been wondering myself, especially with regards to cooking and grocery shopping. Hubby will often make suggestions or give his opinion on these two matters but it's something he genuinely knows less than me about. While I'm happy to take his lead, I feel like I'd like him to let me lead in those departments and follow my lead when I say we will do it this way or we need that product. He's a very smart man, don't get me wrong, but if you don't know the difference be…

I don't see an issue with it. Sometimes we'll see someone, regardless of gender, who's stands out, and we might comment on them. I doubt it means he's going to throw me out for this random woman on the street. I am secure with what I offer and I don't feel that acknowledging that so and so is super hot takes away from what I bring to the table. She could be a raging bitch in real life. 🤷‍♀️

I agree with this. Perhaps he is feeling burnt out with comforting you while he also going through it himself. He probably just wants mutual comfort, like we're a team and we will come out of this together.

I could have written this myself. Honestly I think this is one time you're allowed to nag. It's a very serious matter and if he wants to lead and for you to be submissive... He actually needs to lead and he dominant. I think every now and then calling them out on their BS in healthy. You're not there to pat him on the back and tell him he's awesome 24/7, you're not his mother.

I do apologise straight away because literally it comes out of my mouth and I'm shocked at my own behaviour immediately. What gets me the most of your comment is that I'm degrading his own opinion of himself. I can LITERALLY see it happening when I do that. How horrible, he deserves so much better. 😥 Thank you so much for your help, you have no idea how much I needed this today and this week in general. You're a sweetie. ❤️

I'm starting to struggle to see the point in my self improvement. I have proven to myself that I can be domestic, and rock it, too. I can take extra care of myself. Of my husband. Of my home. I can have an extremely happy husband, if I come home from work and also work in the kitchen. I felt great, realising that I can work full time and be Martha freaking Stewart in the evenings and weekends. Why though?! What happens when you do all that and your husband doesn't wanna lift a finger to improve …

Great question! We see eye to eye on a lot of things plus we both have our separate things we handle so our compromises aren't really painful etc. One thing I can say was a compromise is that I wanted a dog and he wanted no pets at all, so we got a cat because it's less of a hassle than a dog but still a pet that I can cuddle. 😂😻

I like to think of happiness as something you go looking for. Go to your favourite park and feed the ducks, go for a hike, go volunteer at a dog shelter.. Let yourself feel your emotions while you're there. :)

I used to struggle with anxiety and because my now husband didn't really understand it, he would say something similar like "take control of it" when really, once you're in that headspace, there is no "control." It's gone lol. The anxiety is in control and you're just trying to come out the other side of it in one piece. I sat him down and explained its like saying to someone who's got food poisoning, for example, to take control. It just doesn't work that way and no amount of "encouraging words…

I'm sure you do it for other things too. I wrote a similar post, many years ago, on another forum. I feel you 100%, believe me, been there. But if you really feel so strongly about it, book a consultation. Look around for good Drs and start getting prices etc. I know plenty women who got them and they're delighted with them. There's no shame in the game. Just make sure if you go down the plastic surgery road, you're doing it from a positive mental space if that makes sense. ❤️

Then stop talking to yourself like that. It doesn't fix anything and it just puts you in an awful space, mentally. You're basically bullying yourself, do you realise that? It's one thing to think "I could probably fix this area" and it's a total other thing to rip yourself to shreds, like you have in your post. Start saving up for a boob job if you want but you have to stop this negative self talk NOW. If you start to show signs of ageing, are you going to call yourself an awful leathery hag? I …

Most of our personality is shaped from a very young age, this isn't news. Most people don't just "change" unless they themselves want to. Start with simple recipes ie not many ingredients, no weird fancy techniques, no weird fancy gadgets. Give urself ample time for each recipe ie don't rush. Consider, though, that the men who are consuming that content, may need to hear it, for whatever reason. We cannot claim to know what men need / want / think better than them. By all accounts if the men consuming that content were tough and able to navigate the dating world, they wouldn't need to consume that content. Basically what you're saying is the pill is stuck. I don't like the word ugly. Any woman, unless disfigured etc, that looks after her appearance and looks polished, (IMO) does not look ugly. There are so many things you can do to improve your looks. I find that the guys tend to have more of an issue with women who don't take care of themselves / look like they just crawled out of bed / let themselves go by gaining lots of weight. Well, depends what you mean by that. Has he been diagnosed with it? No. Does it probably have it? Yes, but if so, it's something he's struggled with for over a decade and does not feel like a stranger will help, and totally disagrees with medicine for mental health issues. He thinks he can fix it himself but does nothing to actually fix it. I will point this out, he agrees, & continues to do nothing.

Thanks for your comment but I'm not sure that's the issue, personally. We agreed on this plan weeks ago and we were both excited, he loves to go to the mountains as much as I do. It's just getting him out of bed that's the problem, since he was up gaming till like 3am.

Yes this is 100% true. I have noticed this also applies when I make no effort with my appearance on a given day VS when I do. The difference in how people treat me is crazy. That's the biggest motivation to do hair and make up daily!

I read about half and honestly, he's just broke. It wouldn't surprise me if there are no investments at all. This is a massive, massive red flag and you need to gtfo. He reminds me of an ex of mine who was always working on some kind of project and never had any money, strangely. He also referred to the place he lived and the car he used, as the car he uses in this country and the place he stays in this country, but as it turns out, he was always in this country, sooo he just drove a matchbox an…

Last night, before bed, he randomly thanked me and I asked him what for. His answer floored me: "because I came home from work yesterday in a horrible mood, was rude to you but u were so nice to me and you got me out of my funk." Mission accomplished. ❤️💖 It made me feel like his home, his soft place, his sanctuary.

What she said! Sometimes if I'm stressed or grumpy after work I take the long way home, put the radio on, etc... Sometimes I'll come home change and go for a walk... Other times I'll hit up yoga... Even just having a shower when I get in the door helps. I'll change into something cute, stick my apron on and head into the kitchen, listen to a podcast... Usually after that I am myself and can interact with him without sounding strict etc. Xo

Hey, fellow flat girl here. 🤣 I exaggerate my curves through high waisted skirts / linen trousers ie high waisted but not tight, otherwise they would flatten my butt. A hint of cleavage helps (as does a good push up bra!) and I find small (but not kitten!) heels help. Also if I am blessed with babies, I will be getting a boob job after breast feeding...

Hey girl. There's a massive YT/IG movement focused on growing your femininity. How old are you? Id say if you're younger than 25 check out Mrs Midwest (do some research on her though and take her with a pinch of salt) otherwise the Daily Connoisseur is freaking amazing. I put on one of her videos and I instantly feel like a domestic goddess from a fairytale, idk why. Good morning 🌞☕ I'm good today, the weekend allows me to feel more like a homemaker than Mon-Fri. By Sunday morning I feel super relaxed and in my element. He should be waking up any minute now (it's 10am here) so I'm just about to hop in the shower. Actually it's her I'm shaming, not him. He's looking out for his own interests, which is fair enough but she is not looking out for hers. I agree with being in great shape, but if her genes are just not skinny genes then nobody wins here if he's got "preferences" like you say. He doesn't get what he wants, and she knows that. Fun times.

Ofc it was a mutual decision, he's getting a free nanny/maid that he gets to sleep with. Has he given you a time line for getting married? I have fingers and toes crossed for you but you are taking a massive gamble here. If he drags this on for years and dumps you instead of marrying you, you've essentially worked for free and simultaneously have a gap in your CV.

Have you apologised sincerely for your previous behaviour? I think it's great that you have made so many changes (and you made a lot, from the sound of it) and you would think he would appreciate them. So the only thing I can think of is your general attitude towards him. I think maybe one evening dress up cute for him, cook him dinner in an apron and hand him a glass of wine or whatever he drinks. Really surprised to see so many woman saying men who cheat aren't HV. I think we are making the mistake of judging them by the standards for women. Was Mr Big from Sex & the City not technically HV? I'm not suggesting an Aiden-Big debate here but by all accounts, Big was extremely HV. Who defines what is HV anyway? Someone may consider Aiden to be much more HV than Big but I think Carrie would beg to differ. Also, what if the man in question was like, Arab Prince level rich where he could easily…

Just a random thought but, there's a single mom in our building whos ex was abusive (we heard a lot of it) and she's got two kids. Her and her kids are lovely. About a month ago I get home from work and shortly after that I get a call from my fiance asking me to bring his tools downstairs because when he pulled up to park, he saw the neighbour try to fix her kids bike. At this point in my life (30) if I was single, looks would not even be on my radar. As long as he's not like, repulsive, then as long as he's got a decent job and we click, he doesn't have to tick anyone else's boxes. I'm the one next to him in bed, so if he's good enough for me, hes certainly good enough for the people in my life, otherwise too bad... One additional comment regarding ASKING him what he wants to eat for breakfast etc. I understand that you want him to have a say and prepare something he likes BUT this shifts the responsibility back onto him. Just ask him: this or that for today? He gets to chose one and that's it. Or don't even give him a choice. Ask "is this OK for today?".
