So I’m currently watching clips from the TLC show Unexpected (which is a show that has multiple problems, but that’s reality TV for you) and I hate that when I go to the comments they always get on the girl, but never get on the boy. Like they acknowledge the boy is still a kid, but never give the girl the same empathy (and on top of that, talk about her like she’s an adult). It’s so messed up. And when the father doesn’t want to step up, instead of blaming the boy for being a deadbeat, they blame the girl when it takes TWO to make a baby. Teen mothers really go through a lot, but get bashed so hard.

Edit: Also there’s an episode where the girl is having her baby shower and the boy didn’t want to help her open the gifts because he thought it was a waste of time (he got upset about receiving diapers??? Like it’s literally for your child 🙄) he was acting like a complete brat and even said he wanted everyone to go home. The sad part is his pick me mother DEFENDED his behavior by saying that’s just how he was🤮
