An immensely intersting finding.

I would be interested in getting an answer to why the effects of sexual abuse, sexual assault, and or rape on non-female/feminine genders wasn't studied, but this is an essential study either way.

I'm waiting for the study that shows the effects of false allegations of abuse on men. We all know off the association with suicide, probably similar findings of more depression and anxiety to these false accuasations.

How about having your children removed from your custody? Does that also lead to more depression and anxiety or ...brain damage...in men.

Or are women the only ones we are concerned about, as usual?

While I in no way wish to undermine the results here, or insult anyone who has experienced sexual assult, I DO want to highlight yet another case of only women being portrayed as victims.

Sexual assault happens to men a alot too, but once again we are excluded from victim hood, our feelings, health, wellbeing and lives are ignored as usual

Can anyone find a link to any study like this one but for men? I would genuinely be curious to read its conclusions.

I think so many fewer men come forward as victims of sexual assault that it makes it a lot harder to pull sample populations.

Men report very honestly in anonymous surveys, but will not often do in person studies based on their victimization.
