After a very long term relationship with a man who I don’t think knew anything about me or my interests, and certainly took no interest in them himself, I feel like I’m experiencing a proper relationship for the first time in my life.

I get a cup of tea every single morning in bed, he has a notebook where he writes down things I have said I like and don’t like that he refers to later on, he learnt all my aunts and uncles names and one piece of information about them all before he met them for the first time, he made me a board game based on my career and friends when I had to self-isolate due to covid, and he has just booked us a surprise trip to Lapland from Boxing Day and didn’t mention booking it until I asked if he had considered us taking a trip over the Christmas break. Whilst I am continually vetting, I truly didn’t know that this much affection and intimacy was possible, or that a person could put so much effort into a relationship. Feeling the love and hoping to spread it around guys! Happy weekend! 🥰
