When I was a little kid I was a big loser. Got picked on a lot. I graduated grammar school in 02 and never spoke to any of them since. Recently this chick who I hardly remember messages me on FB and talks about how she remembers me from grammar school. After a lot of thinking I recalled that she was one of the people who made my life a living hell. I chatted her up a bit and a few days later she tells me she had a dream about me. I died laughing. I don't hold any hard feelings but she's nuts if she thinks I'd give her the time of day. Just live your life and keep doing what you're doing. No need to be mean or even give any thought on the matter at all. She's a person just like everyone else, they serve no purpose in my life.

It could be a good chance to make some power plays if you're Machiavellian enough. There are so many laws of power that apply here. 2. Learn to use enemies 8. Make other people come to you (check) 11. Learn to keep people dependent on you 14. Pose as a friend work as a spy And more. It's a great opportunity. Even if you aren't manipulative or dark triad you should try to gain some benefit out of it. Who knows, they may turn out to be good future friends. Don't hold grudges

Same thing happenend to me. Just use them. Treat them like beta orbiters. Use and Abuse them. Or next them if they have no value, you don't owe these people shit.

The best way to reject them is to gain their friendship and find out how they value your life and use them when you need them. Finding the balance of equity to not lose their friendship.

Smile and be polite. Don't outwardly say fuck you, don't lord it over them like a bond villain. Just act chill in person, and then ignore them otherwise. Some of them will get really persistent, so just keep on ignoring. Unless you wind up with one like my crazy ex, eventually they will get the idea.
