Thousands of dads are left in shock as DIY paternity tests soar. Up to 30,000 tests are being performed every year, says Alphabiolabs. In the UK about 750,000 babies are born every year. Feminists want the test to be illegal without the written consent of the mother.

Mother-of-two, 40, falsely branded a neighbour a sex offender because he 'made too much noise building a guinea pig hutch in his garden'. It seems for many women if they do not get their way they make a false sex allegation knowing a man is not protected by the law.

A women taking responsibilities for her actions... (sigh!)🙄

Why that women have to be supervised like kids all the time? Are they not equal?

[–]DanteLivra 84 points85 points86 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Men are responsible for the actions of women but women are independent, got it.

Logic and common sense just committed suicide after reading this

>failing to remind the woman to extinguish the flame

Are they saying women are too stupid to understand that fire is dangerous and should be controlled or put out when no longer needed?

No such thing as responsibility because vagina

Logic is dead. Brilliance is gone.

Remember those kids that got arrested for "failing to stop a fight"

[–]StudentOfTheTruth0 10 points11 points12 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Unreal. Imagine the other way. She sure would be a victim (you know so scared and confused and what not, the FEELINGS ...), certainly not charged for "failing to remind him".

And this in Taiwan, my favorite East-Asian country (and I like all of East Asia a lot, except for the Chinese Communist Party). Where is this world heading if even Taiwan is succumbing to the global madness ... So sad.

He should just say, "I told her to but she refused."

[–]itchyotcthy 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Pure conjecture on my behalf, but: I do not think there is enough information is this drama paper... but yes I agree... how do we know if he didn't try to warn her and she told him to shut up!

Relationships can be difficult and he might have warned her many times and simply gave up telling her every time they left the house BUT now he has suffered because of it - possibly...!!!

The male was probably worried about being accused of mansplaining. /s

And thus in the interests of not presuming to know better than the female in question - remained silent.

They were both charged because they both live in the same flat. The man was released, albeit on bail, while the woman was detained in custody. This story does not really fit this sub.

[–]deusdeorum 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

This article states that neither have been formally charged and the man was released on bail while the woman was detained.

I believe you should change your title.

[–]itchyotcthy 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It is horrible that people died, but the title is a shocker... for me it reads as if the couple were out to kill people when it could have been an honest mistake!!!

[–]itchyotcthy 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree with u/Agreeable-Lab-5329 this is in the wrong sub.

If you are going to try and show how men are treated in comparision to women then this is about Profiling not MensRights. After reading these articles:

1: https://www.straitstimes.com/asia/east-asia/anguish-and-anger-after-taiwan-building-blaze-kills-46

2: https://www.straitstimes.com/asia/east-asia/taiwan-couple-are-suspected-of-negligent-homicide-in-building-fire

I'm convinced that we need to be focussing on Human Rights for everyone not keep comparing men and women and keeping a fight going.

From what I can read and I think the second article does not tell us enough and they are simple to sell news to make mone.. This is about the law system in a country and they are the ones treating men this way. The article does not tell us if there was a marital problem and the man had given up on trying to warn his Partner about leaving incense burning while they went out. And if that is the case well he now suffers because of his actions!! I get it as relationships develop in certain ways and people can become complacent because of it and therefore it is not fair, however, people died of it.

Also, there are huge problems with the way the authorities are letting Apartments run down and not have a system where they are looked after, so in effect it is the Judge/whoever that should also charging all the authorities and some of the other residents for leaving stuff in the stairwell which turned in fuel for a fire.. From the original article it seems Taiwan has a huge problem with potential fire traps = apartment blocks that are not safety check.

So at the end of the day it is the Judge/Police who are Profiling the man and assuming he is responsible for her actions too. This is a society problem and not a Mens Rights problem.

The other thing I've learned reading this post (thanks for posting it by the way as I wouldn't have learned some stuff) is that, despite what some Men might think about women getting away 'with shit' it is not good that the women do as it keeps them trapped in a horrible system and they cannot break out of it either!! Men should be writing to their local Politician when they see something like this happening and hopefully that will bring about change!!

In a perfect world anyway. It is clear that Politicians/authorities don't want to do the hard work and change the way things are.

:The two have not yet been formally charged.

:it would be interesting to know 'exactly' what happened.

[–]Domruck 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

its a tad different: she lit the incense stick and they prayed together. However, the man was released on 2000$ bail while the woman is still in jail.
